About the Project
An Exploration of Sound through Color (2020)
This artwork represents the musicians, creators, movers, and shakers that have healed our world through music and sound. The dream-like sound wave dances across the 1000+ hand-selected black and white photographs of artists of all colors, genres, and time periods.
The artwork is inspired by the emotional ebb and flow of music and the transformative journey it takes us on. The collaged photographs in the background tell the story of music through time amidst the whimsical hand-painted sound wave that embodies sound in motion. This artwork serves as a reminder of the power of sound and the otherworldly quality of music that has the ability to carry us to a far away place.
This commission based mural was created with love for Sound Sanctuary Austin. SSA delivers Music in the Foreground. Sound so engaging, it can’t be ignored. Our customers are encouraged to Just Listen while comfortably seated in demo rooms surrounded by art; and equipment that could almost be considered sculpture. Check out the beautiful storefront here.
